2005 Motor Clean-Up
Project
After seeing the car with the
brand new paint job, it was a little disappointing to look under
the hood and see things that weren't quite as nice as the outside
of the car. 40 years of use have taken their toll on various parts
of the motor and a general motor clean-up was my biggest priority
project for this winter.
To do the job correctly meant I had to remove most of the parts
from the top of the motor to clean them, glass bead blast them,
paint them, etc. Also, with the parts off the motor block it would
be a perfect time to repaint the motor block itself to freshen it
up and get rid of areas where the paint had chipped off or just
been eaten away by various fluids.
Never having worked on cars before myself, it was a daunting task
and project for me to undertake on my own but I figured it was time
I learned and no better way than to just jump in and do it.
So........... here we go
