Our Corvettes
This
section of our website is dedicated to our Corvettes.
Since Barry was 12 years old he always wanted a Corvette. He
aquired the love of these cars from his father who was always a
Corvette enthusiast and was finally able to get his own Corvette, a
brand new 1979 late in his life.
We got our first Corvette, a 1965 Coupe, in March of 2004. It was a
lifelong dream for Barry finally realized. Even Linda, not normally
a big car fan, except for her love of the early Mustangs,
immediately loved the Corvette and the activities surrounding the
ownership of the car.
We joined the local Corvette club, The Corvette Club of Northern
Delaware
( http://www.vetteclub.org ), and both of us really enjoy participating in
club activities, going to car shows, and just enjoying a nice
cruise in the car. Since joining the Corvette Club, Linda has
become the Social Events Director and Barry has become the
Newsletter Editor for the club.
In February 2006 we purchased our second Corvette, a 1978 L82 with
only 9,489 original miles. The car was barely used during it's life
to date and had been a bit neglected so this was a bit of a project
car for us.
